Family Law

Divorce – Paternity

Florida family law requires that one of the spouses resides in the country for a minimum of six months before the petition for dissolution of marriage is filed with the family court. A paternity process takes place when the couple is not married and have a child in common. The paternity petition is the first document that the father or mother of the minor child must file with the family court if he or she wants the court to resolve the issue of child support or visitation.

Some of the issues that are addressed in a family law case are the following:

Parental Responsibility

Divorce / Paternity

Child Support

Modification of Custody or Visitation

Division of Marital Debt

Prenuptial Agreement
